The smart connect as a service provider offers builders and integrators solutions in for smart home, smart care and smart community.
For homebuilders and integrators looking at tech, those that are in need of community-wide solutions, rather than single-home options had a provider choice at TecHomeX California. Mivatek offers smart connect as a service for smart home, smart care, smart business and smart community.
“The community covers home care, home alarm, home security and video and everything is integrated, and they have the option to manage themselves,” explains Mivatek CEO John Liu. “So, they can pay us a very small monthly fee and serve the community as a whole.”
Among the company’s service offerings are sensor-initiated video recording, cloud and local storage options, panic buttons, fall detectors, activity tracking and monitoring for fires, flooding and carbon monoxide leaks. Customers can control the products through a single mobile app with multiple management options.
“We offer the homebuilder or integrator an alternative to what we call the smart managed or owner managed or HOA managed, so they can manage the community throughout, and also give the homeowner the freedom to choose whether to use a call center or a self-managed protection.”
This was the first year Mivatek chose to attend TecHomeX California. Liu decided it would be a worthwhile investment because of the quality of homebuilders and integrators together in one place. Over the course of the two days in the exhibition hall, Liu says he had conversations with more than 100 decision-makers who stopped by either with appointments or while walking the show floor – a result he was very happy with.
“The response has been excellent. I think people like the idea that we are coming out of home security and moving into the smart home and smart connect and elderly care. It’s all integrated into one app for all solutions.”
