Roundtable Session to Inspire Guests to Brainstorm on Tech

The Room-By-Room Tech Roundtable Challenge will encourage TecHomeX East guests to use their creativity to develop tech options throughout the house.

A staple of every AE Ventures-produced event is the roundtable session, during which guests are tasked with collaborating with each other and getting their creative juices flowing. They are among the most popular aspects of these events.

As part of these exercises, guests are treated to an up-front presentation from industry leaders. Following this, the guests are issued challenge questions on a specific tech topic related to that presentation, which they will tackle as part of a small group. After a period of brainstorming, they each share their concepts with the entire room.

The idea is to allow the attendees to interact with each other while developing new concepts they can take back to their businesses and help them improve their tech strategies.

At next month’s inaugural TecHomeX East, guests will be working to conceptualize tech options that can enhance each area of the home. Among the rooms they will be asked to workshop are the kitchen, master suite, family room, dining room and more.

Presenting the initial content for this challenge will be Z-Wave Alliance executive director Mitchell Klein. During his presentation, he will lay out use cases on how each room is utilized and also different technologies that are available now and are being developed. Then, it will be up to the guests to combine and expand on their new knowledge with each other and create innovative tech options for their assigned room.

Room-By-Room Tech Roundtable Challenge
Whole-home tech is great, but homebuyers and homeowners often think of their home as a collection of purposeful rooms. In this session, we challenge guests to brainstorm tech features for a wide variety of rooms in both move-up and luxury homes. The result for you: cool new room-by-room tech concepts you can bring to your clients and customers to deliver tech-forward wows.

The Room-By-Room Tech Roundtable Challenge will kick off TecHomeX East, and will begin at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 8th. Click here to view the complete event schedule, and click here to apply to be a hosted guest.
