TecHomeX East Ready to Launch

For the first time, the top players in the TecHome ecosystem from the Northeast will come together to improve their tech collaboration and strategy.

From May 8-10, Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Conn. will be home to the inaugural TecHomeX East.

The event is modeled after the highly successful TecHomeX California, which wrapped up its second annual event in March. Decision-makers from the best design/build and integration/contracting companies from the Northeast will unite for 2.5 days of best practice-sharing, networking and vendor engagement.

The debut of this event will feature 105 hosted guests. Of those, 51 are integrators, 32 are luxury builders and 22 come from high-volume builders. They represent 86 unique companies.

Part of the goal of TecHomeX East is to unite these trade partners so they all can gain knowledge on how to better incorporate tech into their projects while learning how they can best work together and improve the processes to make it happen. That is what the AE Ventures guest recruitment team keeps in mind when they assemble the TecHomeX East guest list.

“The TecHome industry of the Northeast is very connected,” says AE Ventures guest relations specialist Kaleigh Barrasso. “We have received a great deal of referrals for this event and word of mouth has helped interest in TecHomeX East spread fast. It seems the companies we have recruited from New England have already created their own community of adjacent trades, and I am excited to get them all in one place to develop a tech strategy together under one roof and expand their communities even more.”

To help the guests get on the same page with tech, they will participate in a wide range of general session topics that will teach and inspire them to use tech in new ways. They also will have guaranteed, scheduled boardroom and one-on-one meetings with 53 of the top home tech vendor companies representing an array of product scopes. These opportunities give guests a better environment in which to learn about those offerings and solutions for their company than they would find at a typical tradeshow.

There also will be built-in networking opportunities, including an opening night Connections Reception and a TecHomeX After Hours at Foxwoods’ Scorpion Bar and Grand Pequot Casino, designed to encourage relationship-building in a more relaxed setting. The format has proven to be successful with past TecHomeX guests.

“The intimate atmosphere and design of TecHomeX undoubtedly allows for more of an in-depth engagement and networking experience for our guests and sponsors among all trades,” Barrasso says. “The smaller structure allows guests and sponsors to actively realize each other’s goals, talk about next steps and hopefully form future partnerships. In past conversations with guests, they have told me the whole model is very productive and that the information they take back to the office is extremely valuable.”
